Read a recent op-ed in the Providence Journal (5/23/11) by Karina Holyoak Wood and Lorne Adrain of BetterProvidence:

Have you ever thought about how Providence labor contracts are negotiated, for our thousands of schoolteachers, police officers, firefighters, public works and clerical workers and wondered: How come taxpayers’ money is on the table, but taxpayers are not represented at the table?
